UN Maldives to Provide 180 Tonnes of Rain Water

Male’, 5 December 2014 – The United Nations in Maldives in coordination with National Disaster Management Center (NDMC) and logistic support from the Ministry of Defence and National Security  will be distributing  about 180 tonnes of rain water stored underground the UN Building on Buruzu Magu to the general population of Male’.

The United Nations in Maldives hope that this unprecedented incident will be resolved quickly with the joint effort by the Government of Maldives, the private sector and partners, and all residents of Male’ can soon resume their normal life.
